Presales motions where we show product (in demos, POCs, POVs, and workshops) are arguably the most impactful determinant of getting to selected vendor status. Despite that, most presales leaders don’t measure, or don’t know how to measure, team’s demo performance aside from feedback from sales colleagues or sitting in on the demos themselves. Even then, analysis of performance is ad hoc and anecdotal, rather than systematic and measurable.
